Healthy eating

Each work location has a tie-up with a recognized professional agency to manage corporate food kitchens and a dedicated Food Committee which ensures that only healthy vegetarian food is served. We ensure that serving staff are always clinically clean &maintain the highest Hygiene standards through regular F& B audits.

Physical activity

Dalmia Sports Committee creates a year-round itinerary for enjoying, practising and initiating sports activities not only with in the group but also till the level of taking the sports to industry level competitions. Every year, the talents of Dalmia Group takes part in Inter Corporate Sports carnival, “Oxygen” wherein corporates across Chennai and surrounding locations participate. Dalmia Cement bagged 2nd runner up award consecutively for two years.

Yoga

Yoga is a group of physical, mental and spiritual practices or discipline which takes care of needs related to body, mind, and soul. A few organization-wide programs are Yoga classes, Prerna, Anandam, Prarambh, etc. The WINLIFE monthly calendar includes organizing Yoga workshops, meditation classes, motivational talks by motivational speakers from different walks of life again ensuring the participation from the talent and immediate family.

Work-life balance policy

As part of our Work-life balance philosophy, we ensure that all talents mandatorily avail their entire leave accrued during the financial year. This is our message to the employees that spending time with family or self is as important as time at work. Indoor games are conducted on annual basis to promote physical activity among talents including our third-party stakeholders & support staff (housekeeping, drivers, and Security staff).

Health Committees

We ensure that our employee stay in a healthy environment. While Doctors visit the Head-office in Delhi thrice a week, we have our own clinics attached to our plants to maintain a healthy environment, fogging is done in our townships and schools at regular intervals in our plants. Continuous communication is key to keeping your flock healthy. Safety, Health & Environment (SHE) mailers are sent to talents on various topics.

Communicating with our Talents

Communication on Fire safety & Mock fire drills are organized for all talents. Emergency Response Teams (ERT) have been created across locations by following proper procedure and the entire communication is done through internal emails & whatsapp to all talents. Weekly news updates (i.e. newspaper articles, social media updates) in the industry about Dalmia Bharat Group companies are shared on a weekly basis with all talents by sharing news articles links through internal emails.

The Dalmia Bharat Group Values were signed off by following the methodology of launching E-poll for talents. Talent Surveys are conducted to know the pulse of the environment and on the basis of the result, an Employee Value Proposition (EVP) is created and executed.

SWACHH SANKALP SE SWACHH SIDDHI

Our CSR teams help make the last mile connectivity of all Centrally Sponsored Schemes of the Government of India and we actively take part in ‘Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan’. It started with our offices, then premises and plants and have now moved to our houses and societies. Sustainability is the 4th important Pillar for us and we have taken a pledge to be the greenest company in the next few years.

Electronic Waste

In collaboration with Information Management (IM team), we clear electrical waste as per Government of India guidelines. All our CFLs are replaced with LED lights in our offices and we are now donating LEDs to the nearby villages as part of CSR.

Environment friendly initiatives

We have started the “No Plastic” campaign and will be free of plastic by the end of the year. We have already replaced plastic garbage bag with compostable ones and plastic water bottles with glass. We use stainless steel cutlery and vegan crockery as they are durable and sustainable instead of plastic cutlery.
